How did you get your start as an Interior Designer?

I have known for a very long time I wanted to explore the world interior design, since the fourth grade in fact! I still remember getting in the car that day and telling my mom I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up. After that my grandparents introduced me to the home and garden network and the rest was history.

What is your goal when you work with a client?

My ultimate goal when working with a client is to end with a product they love and will function beautifully. I truly believe your space should be custom made to fit you and all your needs. My method for achieving this is working closely with the client, listening, asking questions and building a relationship and understanding of their space and the desires they have for it.

What is a current design trend that you love?

A current design trend I love is dopamine décor, or the idea of decorating for your own personal joy and happiness. I think as people are ultimate goal is always to be happy and joyful. One of the easiest ways to reach towards that goal, I think, is to decorate your spaces in a way the makes you smile regardless of what others may think.

If you had to pick a favorite room in your home, what would it be and why?

My favorite room in my home has to the foyer, especially when it is decorated for the Christmas season. Though it definitely needs a paint job and maybe some new tile, I think with its’ high ceiling, beautiful chandelier, and grand wooden staircase this room has the most potential in our home. During the Christmas season, when the space is fully deck out in hundreds of lights, is when it really comes to life and sparkles.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

Outside of Interior Design I have a passion for dance and spend my off-time teaching at Above the Barre Dance Academy. I also love to spend time with family and friends. I am very close with my family and you can often find me sewing with my grandmothers, shopping with my mom and sister, or watching the Savannah Bananas with my dad. As for my friends we enjoy going out to dinner, line dancing, game nights, antiquing and really anytime we get to be together.
