Kaylyn Hall, Interior Designer
Kaylyn Hall is an Interior Designer with Knilans' Furniture & Interior Design. Kaylyn is a recent graduate from the Art and Design program at Iowa State University and joined the Knilans’ design team in July of 2023. She is an enthusiastic and bold designer excited to work with you on bringing the dreams for your home to life. Kaylyn’s expertise in visualizing your space as you see fit is one of the greatest assets she will bring to your project.

We asked all of our designers to tell us more about themselves:
1. How did you get your start in Interior Design?
My interest in interior design started at a young age, watching HGTV home renovation shows. I enjoy the process of seeing a room or entire home come together to form a finished product the homeowners are excited to be in. My dream of being a designer became a reality when I was accepted into the College of Design at Iowa State University. Thanks to my gift as a runner, I was able to achieve goals and dreams athletically, as well as educationally. After graduating in 2023 I accepted a position as an Interior Designer at Knilans’.
2. What is your goal when you work with a client?
When working with any client, I like to understand them on a personal level and what their dreams are for their home. By understanding someone personally and how they like to use their space, I can reflect this within their home.
3. What is a current design trend that you love?
One trend I have fallen in love with is the idea and style of minimalist boho. It plays with organic shapes and mediums, textures and many fun colors. It is both bold and personal while also being quiet and cozy.
4. If you had to pick a favorite room in your home, which would it be and why?
The room I spend most of my time in is my living room. It has the boho style I like, with earthy colors and natural elements such as plants. It’s the bright, airy and refreshing place I go to cuddle up on the couch and read a good book.
5. What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I love to read about anything, as well as workout, cook and bake! I also enjoy finding new places to hike with my dog. When the weather is warm, I really enjoy swimming. One of my other favorite things to do is to drive around downtown Davenport and find places with live music.
